February 10th 2008 - Road Trippin' - Destination: Dagenham

Still dark and very very cold... 6am at Junction 38 of the M1.
Myself & Bof awaiting Madd Dogg & Dibly for our trek down south...

Our carriage arrives and the marathon begins... load up the bikes and away we go...

For reasons I am still not clear about... I volunteered to make the journey south in the back of the Mercedes Sprinter...

COLD? By the time we reached Watford Gap Services... I thought I was dead!!

"Praise the Lord for High Vis Jackets!!!"

4 hours later we arrived at a VERY sunny and spectacular Dagenham Track.

For anyone who doesn't know this dude below... (Grey Bottoms / Red & Black Top).. He's a big lad but boy does he shift!!!! gobsmacked... LITTLE MIKE

Great to see the kids all lined up waiting to head up to the gate...

Plenty of spectators waiting in anticepation of another great days BMX Racing...

After a bit of Gate Practice... a few Old School Conferences took place...

Never good to see!!! some poor kid being stretched off the track... :? :?

MOTO SHEETS are up and the tension begins...

Then its race time.. (Sorry NO OLD SCHOOL PICS)...

After the MOTO's its break time....

Time for a laugh...

They are Tioga Bars... High Rise..

Zippy had a ride on her on Sunday and wasn't keen... I like them and they suit me... I'm 6'1".... where as Zippy is 1'6"....

That's Chloe' my daughter being stretchered off off after her face plant over the third jump on the first straight.

She was back racing by the third moto so all was good.

That is Shaun Andrews 1 of mike's dialled sponsored riders on the # 11 plate. he was in 2nd behind BAD's Martin Parker in the A'Final until he tried a close to the wire move in the 3rd berm and took the pair of them out

I just worked out that Bof must've been the guy on the silver One bike (didn't get to meet him on the day).

Glad you guys enjoyed your South road trip. It was an awesome day. One of the most enjoyable races I've been to in a while. Can't wait for the regionals to kick off at Daggers on 30th March!

Yep that's Bof... He was proper annoyed at how his day went... 4 races... 3 falls...

His comment as he threw his helmet into the bacl of the van was "Its a long way to come to fall off!!"

We all enjoyed our little road trip' and we'll deffo be back down soon...

I have kind of got over the whole experience after a few days of counselling.
