Ordered from Colored Tuffs in the states No. 187 of 250

Black Profile 180's
Sun Black Box Rims with Suzue Sealed built by Alans
Supercross Bars
ODI Lockons
Thomson Elite Post
Profile HIP 55mm Stem
SE Seat and Chainring
Chris King Aheadset

My Next Project: No.1 of 25 Built 2003 Skunkwerks Quad Cruiser with Replica JMC AP Forks. (Azusa) which ive just acquired. This is totally NOS - unpainted.
Iv'e got a pretty special Paintjob lined up for this - probably wont be ready until the summer - question - leave the brake bosses or have em off?

and then if the Bank manager doesn't lock me up i've got a 1980 JMC Standard Long that needs a total restoration, ive had it verified by Jim and it was originally Red so ill be stripping down to metal and starting from scratch.  All the blue parts will be up for sale - though bars and forks wont...  Please dont hate me but i picked this whole bike up for under £500!!

That's the family sorted!

Leave the brake bosses on the Quad Cruiser.  It's a new school/retro, so deserves a decent brake set and new school parts.

Cheers Mike - that was the way i was going to be honest.  And I couldn't build it with anything but NS parts.  Friend of mine said i should bin the AP forks for Quad forks but i feel that is try to make it something its not - its a bitza really but quite rare so i feel i needs to be built as it was intended for.   There are a few finished ones on Vintage BMX where they have removed the bosses.   Just couldnt decide if that was the way i wanted to go.

btw We met a couple of years ago at one of the Cotic meet ups done through Singletrack in Swinley Forest.  You still riding up that way?

What bike were you on?  I think that was the only time I ever rode at Swinley.  A sin really, as it's not that far from me.  But BMX racing seems to take up most of my spare time now, and the only mountain biking I do is 4X/trails at Chicksands, and a week in Les Arcs for some lift assisted single track riding.

That Quad Cruiser will make a nice rider.  I'd keep the Azusa forks as well, as they look nice on the JMC replicas I've seen.

Hopefully see you at some South regionals aboard the Quad Cruiser  :daumenhoch:

I was one of the Cotic Riders, had an orange one, we chatted about your work mainly - we spoke after over tea and cake (a past time i notice that hasn't come across)

I was at Dagenham on Sunday - didnt realise it was you until i saw the pics on here.

I've only just started to get back into BMX since i started helping with restoring the track in South Woodham Ferrers where i grew up and came along on sunday to see if i was wasting my time - I cant wait - last time I raced was in 1988 though i've raced MTB etc since so fitness wise i should be ok... the only problem i can see is i want to ride all three classes (OS/NS/Cruiser) and i dont think thats possible!

splitting my time will be my main problem, have a road trip to Finale in italy booked for June which is already buggering up my race timetable....  its all good fun though....

Kevin,

not sure to be honest, there may be a couple get over here, im not sure of the importer TBH.   Though with the USD at its worst for a while it seemed silly not to buy from the states. got the frame forks, cranks and a few other bits for about £300.

Cool.  No doubt our paths will cross again at some races.  I think I remember talking to you.  Was your Cotic the one with a dent on the top tube?

I enjoyed that day at Swinley.  Jump gulley was good fun.  Lad on the white Orange full sus (I think his name was Andy) was quite rad.  I was riding my Kobe Ti frame that day.  I didn't realise that day was supposed to be a Cotic day.  Though I think James Dymond organised it, hence why there may have been a lot of Cotic owners there.

Yes it was James that organised it and yes you are correct it wasnt a cotic day just worked out that way, though there were near on 40 riders that day which made it a bit congested.....

Love that Kobe Ti.  She wasnt too shabby either... what you got in the pipeline - you dont make BMX's do you?  I dont think mine was dented, cant remember it, sold it soon after, i dont have a hardtail anymore, just a couple of Santa Cruz's - there were two orange ones - one skinny guy that jumped off everything - and err me.

ill be sure to say hello at the next meet, defo going to try to do Hersden.

I've just released a Reynolds 853 frame (the Alpine) which is an updated version of the Kobe Ti concept.

I do make BMX frames (MX20 and Technique) but I'm out of stock at the moment.  Hopefully releasing a range of 853 race frames and cruisers later this year if cashflow allows.
