Profile chainring bolt size
« on: February 10, 2008, 11:25 PM »
.... can anyone tell me specifically what size the bolt is?   I know its a 7/16" buttonhead bolt, but is it coarse or fine thread - can anyone tell me for certain?

Or is it some wierdo cycle spec thread?

Cheers

Rob

Rob, given it's US made and will be an Imperial size it's probably coarse thread  :daumenhoch:

It does look like it is coarse.  Just wanted to see if anyone knew for deffo as I need to buy a longer version, so it's not going to come from a bike shop...

I need it to be double the length of a regular one, so about 1"  (25mm).  I've had to space the crank arm out a mile on my shiity cruiser.......  :(
