I had a single top tube firebird bitd the one with the funny shaped chain stays i had it built up with black parts, araya 20x, silver sreak bars, out of all the bikes i had (pro performer included) that was my favourite, very light, actually not that different to a new skool.

Sorry I don't have any pics to offer. Those Firebirds are great looking frames. I really like the twin top tubes and the curved chainstays. Were the Firebirds considered a higher end bike like GT, Haro, etc? They look well made. Nice bikes!

No, the framesets were well under a 100 if I remember correctly, the GT, Haros, skyways etc were closer to 200 I guess  this is why DP's were so popular bitd.

ye they were only £75 frame and forks, bars were £15 i think

i think it was cheap to get things built here then, even some skyways and z-rims were made here

the thing is it must have been expensive to fly bikes over from the states so US bikes were bound to cost more.
