Simon just confirmed that there are the ridges on the downtube...so definately Ramp Room...
SE used pre-formed oval tubing, whereas to save money when Hoffman started manufacturing himself he bought round chrome-moly and then pressed it into an oval using two car jacks and two bits of wood...hence the flat spot on the tubing.
The serial number is still a mystery, but they experimented with so many things during the Ramp Room days that they might have decided that week that they would put serial numbers on. Who knows? I wouldn't have thought the '...96' means 1996, I imagine just a coincidence - but I'm baseing that on a sheer guess and have no facts to back it up...other than the wishbone and a production dateline for that particular type of Big Daddy.
Lovely frame that though Si. Put it with Dan's Ramp Room Taj, and the Ramp Room Condor I sold to YGT Mark and that would be one fine collection. A real piece of history.
