Hi, I'm trying to put the new links on 23mag.
If it can help you can of course copy the pages and pics from www.23mag.com to add them in your bootom right frame. Then, you should just modify the code so it would fit to the bmx-recollection.

Thanks Eric. I will do that.

I am not rushing with my new site. I have just bought a HTML Book and it wont take me long to get my new website up and going. I have programming experience in other areas, just not HTML but it doesn't look too hard. I'm waiting for the book before I get stuck into it as I want to understand why things are happening instead of just cut/paste examples without any real explanantion as to why it does it.

In the meantime http://BMX-ReCollection.4shared.com with be downloadable again in a few days (1st March). So everyone will be able to download all the latest stuff. kdw712 has done some mags as well.

I will concentrate on getting my website to work rather than looking good to start with. I should be able to get my site working fully before my http://BMX-ReCollection.4shared.com download site stops downloading again.

Once its fully up then there shouldn't be any more problems as I dont have any storage or download limits in the new site.

I will update this thread on the 1st March. I'll put a message saying its updated and then change the 1st message with the update details. So dont forget to read the beginning of this thread, not just the last. On my new site, I will do a news (latest updates) section and also a wanted section for all the mags and books I need to complete this project. Once all the UK mags are done I will start on my US stuff. I have stacks of BMX Plus'es. Scanning will lessen when the good weather kicks in. But while its cold and dark evenings I might as well get as much done as I can.

I've just bought some more magazines 2 Freestyle BMX's, 3 BMX Racer & Freestyle and 2 BMX Action Bike's.

I am still looking for Magazines. So if anyone has any then please get in touch. If you want to keep the mags but can't scan them then I will scan them for you.

I would like to scan the "Spotlight on BMX" annual which was in the Sale Section last week. If anyone has a copy for sale or would let me scan it (I could have it back to you within a few days) then I'd appreciate it. I have most books but I have never seen that one before.

RATTY is going to get his OS Winter race results to me, so that I can update the OSS BMX Racing site as well and get some proper results on it.

Hi dude!
I recently rescued my ENTIRE magazine collection from my folks house and I have a LOT of them.
I'm just gonna have a look in the boxes I have here with me, see if I can come up with a list.
There are a t least another TWO boxes up at my folks, but I havn't gone through them yet....
Don't have any decent way of scanning them and I'm gonna sell the lot eventually, but it would be good to get them on your site first.

With any luck we can find all the missing issues on my list.

Maybe scanning all Magazines issues wont be an impossible task.

I look forward to seeing what's in the other boxes as well.

My site is coming on a little bit.

I've added thumbnails (sort of, they dont all work).

Still lots of changes to make to website.

I hope it should be more usable by the end of the week.

You're doing a great job - keep it up! The more people upload all the mags, the more the old school and everyone else benefits. I know it's a hard slog - scanning can be soooooo slow!
I'll list what I can, when I can. There's loads more - I never threw ANY magazine away, so if I bought it, I got it.

I usually update at the Start of the Month.

As there were only 3-4 new items available, I have decided to hold them back until I have finished the Programming an updater to help with all 4 of my websites.

I'm designing the structure of all 4 websites so that its easy to update and easy to add features and content while keeping it simple.

Unfortunately this takes time which is in short supply.

But when it is finished I will then be able to concentrate on scanning.

Adding features and updating will be as simple as clicking a button.

There are probably easier ways for me to do this (SQL etc, etc) but I don't know how to use them so I will plod on regardless.

When I next update the download sites, kdw712 will have a couple of magazines available to download. Kuwahero will have his BMX Trading Cards available to download and I'll have a few magazines available as well.

The new Download site should be fully completed by then apart from a few cosmetic tweaks here and there.

WOW, WOW & WOW!!!

What an amazing collection!! Hats off to you for doing it in the first place, and also to anyone that's took the time to scan.

I downloaded the BMX Action Bike mag from 82....was wicked to see!
Are there going to be more ABMX eventually? Would be ace to see some more

I had a letter in one once...think it was the one with Jason Lunn (from memory) doing a trick in the kitchen on the front cover. Also a girl i rode with called Shauna got a letter in one of them too....will have to try and find which one.

It's such a shame i didn't keep my spares

From 1984 i used to buy my ABMX off a schoolfriend who's Mum worked at Chase Web Offset (the people who printed it) and i used to get it about 3 days before it was in the shops.....for 10p a copy!! So obviously i used to buy a few of each. I had mint / unread spares of everything from about 84 until way after it became RAD mag. Gutted i ditched them now.......stupid!

Been a bit busy doing some other stuff at the moment to do some more scans. I will get back on it once the OSS Summer Series ends.

All the OS BMX mags will get scanned (hopefully by next summer).

Scanning is the easy part.

Having the time to do it and changing the HTML for the website is Hard part.

Theres just not enough hours in the day!!!

I don't have a full sized scanner, so i just scan a few pages here and there when someone is looking for something specific.
