little bit of a follow on from the one in the for sale  section, thought i would go n have a look at my number, i got 9851450, i was under the impression that they was 4 holed from 86, but going from my number it was made in sept - 85 and number 1450 off the line.??
tubes are level with the top of the frame

You are correct about the serial number, holes are a different proposition  :crazy2: - do you have a picture of the rear drop-outs?

Looks like a US made '85  :daumenhoch:

Last I heard the holes were confusing matters some-what and the rear dropouts, whether they're 'notched' or not (your's aren't) gave a better idea of date/change, but to be honest I haven't kept up on the latest detail

Basically that frame and forks could be exactly what Wardy has got. I have read through all of the info on here this afternoon with regards to fookin dropout holes, top tubes being in line and not in line etc etc.

All i can work out is that if your serial is on the non drivers side rear drop out then its a US one!

Everything else contradicts what we all believed.

Does it really matter now if a frame was US or Taiwanese when it comes to performers as i am begining to be come disheartened by the whole thing.

No, it's what really matters to you personally.

The only thing that really matters to me where Pro Performers are concerned is owning an '84 - the first year they were made.
