-do the forks and rear drops look like these
-has it  head tub rings

-the plot thickens, when i bought it , it had nice parts
-had powerlite tyres on it too!!!

Cheekthirtysix had an 80's Powerlite, not sure if he still has it though  :-\

twas the vry first old schooler i buyed, 2 yeasr ago
-lent it to the nephew for a year, came back a couple of months back

-any hoots,its only since going on the us site - museum, and looking at pwerlites, i noticed it looked similar
-still don't know though, as there aren't any mini's to compare

I've got John's(cheekythirtysix)old Powerlite now,what a masterpiece.I'm at work at the moment and photobucket is blocked,so when i get home ill look at the pics and see if i can help.

I've got an '86 Powerlite (dunno if that counts as early or not)

Here's a pic from the front where you can see the fork dropouts:



The rear drops look like this:



And the rear brake bridge bears the serial number, starting with the year of manufacturer:



The headtube has the strengthening rings too.

-it can't be a powerlite then, as it has a tuberear brake bridge
-not the flat specific style one

Dunno if all Powerlites had plate brake bridges - could have been tubular earlier or later.

Don't give up trying to ID it  :daumenhoch:

I've got an 82 or 83 Powerlite SR Expert, it has the same drop outs Woody allen bars' does. :police:

i've got a very early 90's cro mo Powerlite F&F going cheap if anyones interested  :angel:
