you could but I wouldnt recommend it. get the washers otherwise you will only regret it.

trust me I wrecked a Hoffman Suger Baby doing the same thing with some shimano dx race hubs and fooked the hubs too.

you could just tighten it, i would ride it that way, but i reckon it will loosen off faster, and will strip the threads quicker.

Lots of people just tighten them up and go riding.  I would suggest a good quality 10mm penny washer or similar to spread the load of the smaller nut to help things out.   ;)

No Dan a late 80's robinson.
Moose i hear that.. i fitted a 14-10mm in a Gt fork and the forks drops were slightly smaller than 14mm..
was a right ball ache fileing the drops to make it fit.
I think these are the same type of dropout.. fook it as bob said, tighten them with a big washer  :daumenhoch:

a 14mm wont fit thro the slot, a decent washer either side would do it tho

put your wheel in ..then push them in
