Haro Freestyler Gen 1 copy ideas
« on: January 24, 2008, 09:43 AM »
Lads, about to get myself one of these but just to ride about on but I'm thinking (once I get hold of the proper forks) to get it stripped and painted! I was thinking of blue, something to match the decals... or even white? Although not too sure about that at all. I know it will seem alien having it in anything but Chrome but what do you reckon?  :daumenhoch:

Apprantly chatting to Chris etc... they do, but mainly on the US ebay. I do think it will be a long shot though. First things 1st though, get the frame and get the bugger stripped. What colour do you reckon then Pickle mate?  :daumenhoch:

For a Gen 1 i think it just has to be Chrome.....but if i were to do it in a colour??  probably white for me mate  :daumenhoch:

or maybe go for Black  :daumenhoch:

I did think about baby blue, again that is if I can get my hands on those forks  :knuppel2: I think baby blue could potentially go well with the decal colours?  ::)

Biagio had this for sale a long time ago.

I've seen a black one as well, but don't have a picture of it  :(

White doesn't look too bad you know Phil! But I already have a white master?  ::) I guess it makes no difference. Black would be too dark I think or go for one of the colours in the decals which is either blue, white or green (not green, don't fancy that...). So choices could be:

* White
* Baby Blue
* Royal / Dark blue same as in the decals

Or something else?  ???

I think this is the seller that sold them originally, but they're probably all gone - might not hurt to ask them if they have any more though?

Keep it chrome mate and pretend its the real thing and lie that its real!. :LolLolLolLol:

Surely the whole purpose of a Gen 1 copy is for it to look like a Gen 1? Its just gonna look like a Haro if you paint it.

Ive got a set of copy Haro forks but they are to go with a Haro sport frame. The frame is a real 84 Haro so if youve got a set of real Haro forks you wanna swap for my copies then Id be up for that
:LolLolLolLol:

I got the frame only so started looking for forks. I got a set in about a week, thanks to a few pointers from people on here. Some will come up.

Beige though? Perhaps a thought... Yellow!  :shocked: Blimey that would look striking but i'd be worried about the decals not matching properly, but thinking about it GT decals are all sorts of colours and they go ok... humm Yellow!? But, its these fooking damn forks that's going to be the sticking point here I reckon... had a look on egay and nothing yet...  :-\

If it were GENUINE ,yeah I'd be saying it's gotta be CHROME and nothing else  :yahoo_silent:

but it isn't so go for it and do something different like baby blue ,

I REALLY like the custom look bikes on here when they do an unusal colour choice which goes

They're a change and original   :smitten:
