hello all

well i finally got myself a bmx i really wanted an old one but funds wouldnt allow it so i picked up a gt performer i think its around 97 ish how can i find out ?

after a little ride i cant believe how much my arse is hurting i havnt rode a bike in 10 years my gt has a solid plastic seat i think i need a new padded one

so can anyone recomend a comftable seat for my gt  im mainly using the bike to ride with the dog i would even be intrested in a secound hand one if somebody has one the bike is not mint and is never going to be  ;D

post a pic of it, someone will ID it.

as for the seat, the later performers came with padded seats, so you'd probably be able to get a padded gt performer one.

BMX seats are not for sitting on, if you want to double check though - go down to your local skatepark and try and sit on someones saddle there.


If your looking for something comforatble for the mature gentlemen to get to work etc, youll be fighting a losing battle with a bmx.


But if your are desperate, you might be interested to know that the most common new school seat, "velo slim saddle" rebranded as wethpeople or shadow conspiracy etc, is actually very very comfortable. And also looks hugely better than chunky midschool jobs

some lovely seats but how do i fix them to me bmx are they new school ? ;) ;D
