Torker 280x
« on: January 19, 2008, 10:30 PM »
best mate had one back in 84/85, got his xmas day when i got my kuwie nova..even though my bike was shit hot, i was still jealous......

23 years later,i saw this in america, same owner from new, everything original( bars, pads and decals), i had to buy it, but the dude wouldnt ship to the uk, so Madall said he'd help me out....and what a ball ache that turned out to be..seller was a twat, and it just took ages to get it all sorted, anyway, after much fooking about, Madall hand carried it back for me with his luggage ( am grateful man, i owe you)..and i finally ended up with it....

no wheels or pedals, as they were disgarded prior to flight for being shite, and to be honest, i havent even cleaned it...its mint...ditched the sr stem and seatclamp, replaced with tufneck and suntour, chucked some used mx1000' on it, and some nice tuffs and this is what i am left with...( seatpost temporary as alloy one needs a good scrub)

as a survivor, its up there with the best of em....:smitten:

he's going for it :LolLolLolLol:

good thing about torkers is you can build em up with pretty much any parts and they look cool...

i did mine exactly as i remember my mate adams....just reminds me of diggin holes and builing ramps and shit...

i know he's been trying to find one over the last few years so i am waiting for the call....

question is, am i obliged to sell it to him?

we'll see..
