Since it could be a while before I get the whole magazines scanned and uploaded, I thought I'd pick a few random shots and pages from the earlier mags I've got. Should keep you all going in the meantime....
Didn't realise it was going to take up most of my Saturday though! Ha ha...! Enjoy!

Front covers of all the Action Bikes I've dug up so far can be seen here;

Top stuff, Good job.

There was mucho junk in BMXA but there was also some great shots. Although even with the "Junk", Id still read it from cover to cover, again and again.

Those pipeline shots did, and still amaze me! Full on airs in that bowl would be a good trick today. Domingues ROCKS!

Great stuff Gary, agree with you Alex, Pipeline was probably THE scariest place ever and those Mike D pics are some of my all time favs.

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cnut... ME!

Thanks for the Scans - fantastic stuff - it was the Meanwhile Madness pics that got my head spinning for airiels...that table top of the bloke on a Torker w/ Z-rims, with he's knees tucked in - love it, still looks good today, timeless style.   :4_17_5:

I look at those pics, and the front covers of the BMX Action Bike mags and I pine for my lost youth.

I mean I really get depressed sometimes thinking back to the times of ripping on my Quarterpipe on my bike.

I think Roy Batty said it best - All those moments, will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Is it wrong of me to feel depression when thinking back to the stuff I could do but will never be able to do again due to injuries and the ageing process?

Not at all...I know exactly how you feel...everything changes around us but we essentially remain the same, at least in our heads.  It is always sad to see things that we have known and loved pass, and such memories are all we have.  Then when we look forward it doesnt seem to be a better world for our future...rip off safety camera partnerships, gangs of chavs wandering our streets unchecked and yet more taxes...

Our childhood is the best thing we have it seems at times...

Still cheer up, look forward to MK08 when hopefully it will be sunny and we can all have BMX, barbies and beer with our friends...

Older you may have got, but while others share your memories, alone you are not  :daumenhoch:
