Yes, well chuffed. Might change a few bits, get a green seat maybe, and wouldn't mind a chain with green links. I would prefer green or red tuffs, but can't get any at the right price.

Went out for a ride on it around derby, got no end of grief from the chav's! But that's only to be expected. It's a very long time since I have ridden a bmx, but I reckon I could easily get used to riding this. It handles superbly, and is very light compared with my mates modern tanks. I felt right at home on it straight away. Modern bmx's always feel to small for me.

Hi

Very Nice Build.

I'm loving the levers with the Sharp covers.

Only things i'd change would be Red Tuffs a must.

Then possibly when time allows and you could find them, a red crank and red head set, chain and Sharp BB Boot.

She is looking sweet though, and makes me even think about getting one now.... ;)

I wanted red tuffs for it, but I can't find any at a reasonable price. Basically, because I have been more or less made redundant, money is extremly tight at the moment, and I have had to use whatever parts I already had, like the black tuffs for example, and the seat post and clamp as well. I also think it would look better with a powerdisc (or whatever they are called) and chainwheel, rather than the tuf neck chainwheel.

My only regret with the whole bike is putting that crappy Hatta headset on, no mater how much I adjust it, it comes loose after 5 minutes riding. Rubbish. I wish I had put a beartrap one on it. Would one of those tange locknuts cure it? Are they any good?

I know it's not a very high spec bike, but there again it only stands me at around £240 all in. When funds allow I will change some bits for sure, but overall I'm pleased with the way it's turned out for the money. And it will be ridden a lot when the weather improves!

I've had similar problems with my Hatta HX100 headset. Stick a Tange headlock on it and that'll be the end of the problem. The Tange headlock actually replaces the locking nut of the headset and are very light and work well.

I have to say that that Street Beat looks pretty damn good to me though. I think the colour scheme works well, including the black Tuffs but would probably take the frame pad off. Good job.  :santa_afro:

Cheers for the info, just ordered a tange locknut. I hope it works as well as you say they do!  :santa_wink:
