Darren

You probably won't remember me but I used to ride a lot with you and the rest of the gang at Hayes, especially Geoff Bonwick,  Lee Shurey and David Landy among many others; I worked at and was sponsored by Heff's.  I've got Lee and Geoff details and will see if they can make it to hayes on 17th.

Give my regards to your dad, saw him last year at the Hawks anniversary meeting and got to chat with him a fair bit - he hasn't changed at all  :LolLolLolLol:.

regards

Marty  :daumenhoch:

You beat me to it Flem, Brum Wheels, European Championships Round 1 1983.

Highlight for me at Wheels was watching the Ammaco Mongoose sidehack team of Trevor Chapman and Gry Southgate jump the coffin doubles on the hack, fooking mental in those days and even now i reckon!

Old Andy 'one pedal' Patterson at the back there, surely no-one else matters!!!!

That's a job for Dale, I can see all the easy ones and a lot of familiar faces but can't name them! Who's those wheels riders, I remember the little ginger kiddy!

Whose that Kuwahara rider with Simon Hayes and Diggens with his back to us, Niki?

Great pics of B'ham Wheels, boring anecdote time.... :D
In the late 80's used to ride the halfpipes at Wheels, but if it rained we would ride what was left of the "international track" as it was known, only the first half of the track was left. Even in the pi$$ing rain that track was perfect,  no puddles/ruts rock hard. Always wondered what it was like, the full track any more pics? :)

Ooh look at the lovely surface at Hayes! No wonder my knees are still scarred. One for Lee Alex. Who's the guy behind Gary Saunders and ahead of Sedge in the photo?

Darren I can see your Dads yank car in the background of the 3rd pic, and thats a cracking pic in the performance bowl at Rom  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
