i thought flip flop allowed smaller drives on one to the other

so you have 16t and 15t - not good

sure DK did a hub for this - like the old clem twin drive

Thanks guys.... but that sprocket wont work  :(

My mad mate Warren saw my pics of the Clemtwin system and insists he wants to build a Clemtwin esc setup. Possibly to go on his Crazy Goose. Crank arms are not a problem.
I just figured the problem with a flip flop hub.... As you pedal it would undo one of the sprockets so some rethreading would be in order??

Just a thought but it has sealed bearings so you could see if you could get bearings with a smaller inside diameter to replace the stock ones or get shims made up to reduce the axle down to 3/8" or 10mm and put a different axle in  :daumenhoch:

I feel really stupid now.

I always thought that a flip flop hub was built so you just screw on two different sized ordinary freewheels.  Then, at the racetrack if you need to change your gearing quickly, all you do is whip your back wheel out and turn it around.   ???

You mean its not?  The l/h side is a regular freewheel but smaller not a l/h drive so you do just that, whip it out and switch it over  :-\

if you cant easily change the axle in the DK you could always machine / file some flats on its only a couple of mm each side

then all  you need is two drive sides for the crank and your there

not that i've thought about this much  :coolsmiley:

crap pic but you can just make it out

Great idea, didn't think about doing that at all - it would totally work  :daumenhoch:

I missed a set of Profile twin drive cranks on US eBay last summer...they went for less than $300 and i was skint ::)

Yeh Kev, looks sweet but I bet it was an arse to set up. I can't imagine that the wear would have been even on each side either

The left hand one wouldn`t undo, it would just freewheel like if you were pedaling backwards on a normal freewheel, it would need a left hand drive freewheel and the thread would need changing on the wheel/hub to LHD too (obviously only on the left hand side of the wheel/hub)  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
