Build another bike, an old school race bike, find a track with an OS gate and enjoy, even freestylers can enjoy racing. If you really cant be arsed with racing then how about getting a half reasonable camera and taking pics in the local skate park or track..... :daumenhoch:

Why not do some kind of hybrid combining the elements you like from diff bikes. Might be interesting/challenging.

Or I might just be crazy  :uglystupid2:

I was going to ask if you were/are riding your bikes? Surely that is were the real fun is?

Im tempted to challenge you to find a dark bike on the fly or odyssey web sites, but like you say, its "imo" and your intital to it (Im sure NS Street king Aaron Ross gets his bike painted at the same place Jess Dyrenforth got his GT done at!)

are you actually riding bmx or just reminising?
if you love the sport i think you should really try and give new school a go. come to one of our meets and meet like minded people who can do fook all on a bike and enjoy the riding side of it.

There's your answer Spesh....hang in there mate, you have highs and lows, but BMX is in the blood...whether you ride or collect, makes no difference. I can't ride anymore due to back problems, so I build bikes, take pictures and organise RAD events...keeps me involved in the sport I love.

Keep it rad fella, the winter months are the worse for the mind.

:) Just hang in there dude! I`ve been ill since Feb 2006,and have only managed to go for a ride with some fellow Radsters and race once since then.I am pretty much housebound all the time, but I`ve been into BMX since 1981 and I always find something to keep me interested.Don`t fall out with BMX,maybe take a break for a few weeks and I bet you`ll find yourself unable to stay away!

Hey spesh.

You have my sympothy mate as I'm having a similar time of late, few personal issues, back playing up and it's looking like I'm going to have to have another disc replaced which is the last thing I need. Winter doing my head in and not being able to get up to Interact to meet the lads and have a wobble in the comfort of a great indoor park so I know where you are coming from.

However, I've just got a new build to do (84 sport  :smitten:) so that's lifted my spirits no end. I know that now we are in to the new year that spring isn't far away and the weather will be getting better. I've got some mid school builds planned which will keep me occupied. Personally things have picked up a bit too as I've landed a couple of good parts which I'll start filming soon. I'm determined to do more riding this year and I'm going to get to Rom and Southsea this year and I might even go up to Livi at some point and on my way past call in and see Dave Young as I've been promising to do it for long enough, either way I'll going up to see Dave so that's summat else I've got to look forward too.

Keep ya chin up fella, think of all the positives about BMX, it's in your blood so you know it makes sense. Fook the young cubs with their black bikes and studded belts, let them get on with it and you do what you do and enjoy it to the max dude.

yes, well said daz,  spesh,  i don't ride or collect, even though i was an 80s rider i have no desire to collect,

i'm out every weekend watching other peeps ride and loving it, just being part of bmx for me is enough,

i powdercoat bikes, take pics and travel to lots of other parks and again germany in the summer and i still wont

get on a bike,   see being part what ever part that is,  is all that matters :daumenhoch:
