seeing as it is only a text based inbox rather than an email inbox, i guess it would only take up as much as a lengthy thread. the size of servers and processors today, a text based inbox would have to be mega huge to cause performance issues.  but still a good idea to keep your inbox trim.

but what do i know.  tricky's the man.  or ruler... they could give you a difinitive answer.

it won't get full, and won't really slow down the site

unless everyone had 1000s of pms stashed

the main thing that would slow the site down is a lot of connections (people logged on)
