I know he got in trouble from the law in 2006... but does anyone know how Scot Breithaupt is doing nowadays ??

This is sparked off from watching joe kid again yesterday and have since wiki'd him earlier this evening... that then linked me to threads from him, his wife and friends surrounding the whole ordeal on the vintage bmx discussion board.

Not a member on vintage so I suppose he could have posted since, just wondering if anyone knew anything...

it's a shame when things go this way.

I hope things are on the up for him... ??

I think he's still in jail at the moment , how long for I've no idea .

the last email i got from his good wife he was still in jail , he has some of my cin city stuff with him , how cool is that

You're right, should have been a very rich man... I know that he said on the stingray dvd that he got into drugs etc... but I thought that was filmed a long time ago and that he was on the up... sad to hear that the originator of bmx is in jail.. $:-\$

it is a shame, but the US penal system seems quite rigid with their three strike rule!

Was watching the U.S. ABA Winternational Indoor BMX races from 1981 on DVD just last night and Scott was one of the commentators. Funny as heck, like watching the commentators on MTV's celebrity deathmatch!

Well, everyone has troubles in their life at some time,just seems his have lasted longer than most,lets hope he gets his shyt together before he ends up somewhere he really doesnt want to be.
