Hunterdubber - Living the Olympic Dream
« on: December 31, 2007, 08:22 AM »
Word has it that after his stunning debut performance yesterday, Hunterdubber has been called into the BC training programme as one of our great Olympic hopefuls. Work has alredy started in the Newholme workshops on a 3/4" marine ply practice gate, and the Bez of BMX 'Random' Andy Lennon has been drafted in as coach/ guru/ vibe controller.
Chris will need clips, an A-Z of China and a full tank of juice for the Tranny (which leaves for Beijing in the spring), so please dig deep to help him. Sponsors so far in the frame include Bridge St Cycles, Johns Cut Price and WiBiS.
Chris, we're all so proud of you. (Except Bof, who's well chuffing jealous and can't hide it)

Just to clarify, Chris' role in the BC team is more of a 'Brave Tryer' or 'Have-a-go-Hero'. The BC realise they haven't got a snowflake in hells chance of winning a medal so they want an Eddie the Eagle type charachter to grab a few column inches. Pictures of Chris nose-diving into the middle of the big doubles, or going ass over tit over an un-dropped random gate should do the trick. God bless ya Chris, we're all rootin for ya.

For f**ks sake don't let Hunterdubber see the thread for the Olympic track on this page, he'll be bottling it. Bof's set him up with a Piranha frame and motomags with 46/16 gearing, down that start hill with a tailwind he should be hitting about 60 when he hits those first doubles........

Think he's already speed testing the piranha

Bernard Pearson has built him an mdf start gate at the top of Boggarts hill.

Bof, if you nip into the saddlery shop on the corner next to Sagar Menswear they've got all Chris' sizes, they've been tailoring him for gimp-wear for years. I think they would also be keen to quote you on some proper leather-strap type clips for his pedals. Judging by the olympic track I think a clipped-in Chris will be tank slapping his way over most of the jumps, so some saddle soap for his arse cheeks might also prove to be a good investment. It's just good to know that we're not sending him into this unprepared, he's got a great team around him...

Ive managed to pull in a few favours  :smiley6600: and can say with pride that Anchor garage is suppling the sponsored car.
A beautiful 1.6 mkIV escort ghia

All they require is a 10ft x 10ft anchor motors sandwich broad on top.

Just on the phone to see if majrona will pimp it out..
