Got a frame and fork's at last
« on: January 07, 2008, 07:45 PM »
After much looking around I have got one of the aero frames which are floating around on e-bay!

What with my kids and a half finished house extention this was all my budget could go to really, so I got one for £35 pound from alans bmx.

Although it's not a ta or a gt, I have got my brain ticking over for what I can do to it! All the parts I could'nt get hold of  back in 84 etc!

Hope to get some good tips and ideas of you guys so I will keep you posted! ;)

dude...have a good mooch around on here.....its a wealth of info and will defo get you on track....

then put up a thread in wanted fot the bits you fancy and await your responses!!

if your building on a budget, no probs...there's good stuff at every price point and plenty of people to help you out...you can stay away from the retailers at first and use fellow radders and really get it up and together for not much dough with some good parts.

welcome to RAD  :daumenhoch:!

welcome dude.

I built up a couple of reflexes one quite a nice spec, and the other quite cheap.
if you want some good brake calipers, someone has some bulldogs for sale in the for sale section, might not quite be the right era, but they work
really well, and on a budget they'll do you.

don't want to waste a picture oppurtunity:

this was the nice specced one

and this the cheaper one:

decals on the green one were made by Del, a membe ron here for all your decal needs.

The Aero Reflex frame and forks may be cheap but they're a great place to kick off the addiction......and believe me it will become an addiction!!

They are also great frame sets that ride really nicely too.

Welcome to Rad fella  :daumenhoch:

They look real cool guys

My frame arrived today! It was cool opening it up wish i was 12/13 not 35years old, but it was still a great feeling, loved it! ;D

Thought allday what I could do to it, seat post's. grip's ,wheels! ??? And there it was in my kitchen all along, when I got home!

Really pleased and chuffed!!!!!!! ;D

Then had to move 6 sheets of M D F   8*4 foot sheets, but still got a smile!!!! :)
