billy-bmx brings shame to the sbd house
« on: December 28, 2007, 09:11 PM »
had a great day at corby today, all was looking good till billy stepped onto the vert ramp, wanted to ride the resi,

first run ok, tailwhipped it sweet, then pops out and says  dad i want to try and pull a flair :)

ok bill go for it,  now this is where the shame starts,  on the vert ramp with him was a load of pros,   simon tabron, zack shaw,

a mirra co rider, a few others and our very own paul meacher, all ripping it, so billy drops in and goes for it :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

first go, not bad BUT the second go :-\ :-\   i crawled away from the vert and made out i didn't know billy,  he was relegated to the

back seat on the way home and certainly no ice poles this time ;D

next year can only get better ;)

first go, sweet

and this, in front of all the pros,  :-[ :-[ :2funny:

No shame in that as a first attempt and one thing i've come to know watching Billy and the other Rad young un's over the last 18 months is that it won't be long before he pulls it !!!!!

no shame in that. i remember trying flip fakies on radlands vert back in 1993 and looked even worse than billys. 95% of the trick is mental and you gotta be fully committed on tricks like these or the result could be a worse injury by bailing (espec if at height). practice makes perfect and everyone has to start somewhere. i have the footage to prove it in some cases but it'll prob stay in the video vault for now.
even though i've never met billy or been a member of this site for very long i know a good rider when i see one so as they say, the skys the limit.
