if you havent got access to a polishing mop get your self some production paper as used in bodyshops, using a block where possible rub part down working through the grades ie 180 if part has deep scratches or finer if there are only fine scratches like 240 working down through the grades to 1000 then a polish with a mop in an electric drill or a lot of elbow grease with some autosolv should come up like chrome i have had great results with car and bike parts

i tried the mops etc in the drill nightmare to do .used brown rough polish then blue smooth polish very hard to get nice finish all round bars after 3 hours gave up .then realised i had to wet and dry scratches etc out first and the polish wont do this .determined to try again though asfter i get some more wet and dry my shop only sold up to 400 grade so need a finer one .
anyone else do this how often/long do you use the mops as mine went black st away is this okay to still use then or do you change for clean ones regular .

hi motomag mops will go black straight away the secret is not to load mop with to much polish the best way is to use little polish often otherwise mop will become clogged up and will cause scratches when final finishing (coloring) you should use a calico mop which is soft cotton just done my esp stem looks like chrome persevere mate it will be worth it in the end

yeah, not too much polish on the mop, sholud only take 20 mins, if it gets too clogged use a wire brush to get the polish offa the mop

I don’t use the drill any more..
You want a bench polisher with a wheel on either side
Course one for stripping and the other a polisher.
