To paint or not to paint ?
« on: December 04, 2005, 11:51 AM »
That is the question !

The pics actually flatter this f/f a bit, cos it's covered in chips and scratches. I'm in 2 minds wether to have it powder coated and re-decalled, or just leave it alone. Most of the decals are lifting or mullered, but there is no actual damage to the frame or forks. I've got most of the original components for the whole bike, and I will have plenty of other minty minters by the time all my other 'projects' are finished, so   ...  do I make it look pretty again, or leave it a bit manky, and looking used ?

Cheers

Guy  :)

Bit surprising that. I thought you'd all be for keeping it original. ???

Anyway, my nextdoor neighbour's son came round just now and scooped up all the stuff for powder coat, and he's taken that too. So the decision has been made for me  ;D

He also took a Mongoose Cali f/f and bars by mistake as well, so I think I'd better give him a bell  :D

i woulda said keep it original as all your other bikes will be minters, but seeing as its gone off for powder already then minter it is :santa_afro:

woulda been a fair bit cheaper to get all the bits in used rather than mint condition tooŽ

Change of heart, I rang my mate this evening and saved it from the blaster. So it'll be coming back to me as it left, and getting built up using the original parts.
