i have about 3 of bmx news
and about 10 or so bmx weekly from when it was a paper
and a copy of action bike 1 that i want to scan as well

and still aint finished doing the stu T bmx book for ya either
still xmas is coming

Thanks for posting this up, great stuff to read and it really takes you back.  BITD I never used to think that there was such a divide between north and south but you can really tell it when you read the old mags  .

A quick question, can your scanner scan to pdf format at all?

Well kept secret BMX News. I'd never heard of it as I didn't start riding till 82 but I was scanning the bay for mid school mags last year and came across 2 full sets, got one set for £15 and the other for £5 (put the best ones together and sold the rest to another member). They are great stuff and have a lot of the Alans crew in. Unfortunately I have no way of scanning them in because of the size

with regards scanning i have to do it in two halves then use paintshop/photoshop to put it back together again
takes a bit of time, but def worth it as the paper ones i have are getting very fragile now

A quick question, can your scanner scan to pdf format at all?

don't think so, though at work i can compile PDF's no probs

i thought i t would look great using that shockwave page turning effect
with some pukka newspaper noises added for good measure

any SWF creators out there ?

Wow, that brings back some memories. I think that came free with Trials & Motorcross News (TMX), that was my first exposure to BMX, and it wasn't long after that I was out riding on a Murray!

thanks kev your'e a star ,i know they did an advert for it but not sure what publication it was it must have been 80-81 ish -the bike was black with yellow pads and had cotter pin cranks ,box bars and single stem, it was a pos but i would love to get hold of one to restore  cheers phil
