Can anyone tell me what pedals i should be looking out for? Want somthing fairly in keeping but dont want to spend all my cash on a set.

Any suggestions? offers?

shimano SX's. Cant go wrong on a build these days. great value for money and underpriced if you ask me.

Why in the wrong section? Its a question about restoring an old dp firebird freestyler circa 83

looking at these as a guide to spend. not got alot of coinage at the mo as done my cods on a load of other stuff.

anyway, those pedals are ok but as Munners said get some SX there are still a fair few around and prices are good.

exactly..........you got it right sir

pedals in 1983 were plentiful. KKT, shimano, suntour, SR, MKS and on it goes. all of these brands are still available in 1/2 & 9/16 at realistic prices (well except the suntours, they are a bit pricey) from different vendors and ebay. pedals are probably the easiest part of a build.
