i wonder what made him think his bike could take a plummet of that magnitude to a flat bottom concrete landing, without giving way?

Can't be any worse than 10 feet out to flat on a vert ramp.... I know the forces are a little different, but I'd call shitty bike maintenance or bad tyre pressure, or both on this one.

I personally think he should have been going twice as fast too.
