as its ok over chrome can i assume it would alright over a polished nickle finish too ?

yes mate no probs, one thing i do know is that if the chrome has marks that have cut through the chrome

it will show as small black marks when the red goes on

i painted a sample first and noticed the marks, then the sample with the chrome powder first was perfect

You can get pretty much any colour in the translucent range from the US. I've done quite a few lately, especially MTB's and a few for guys on the burner forums. They look awesome,
Same idea as Dirtbiker250f's CW, Stella dave's custom Super Tuff or the standard Super/Super Tuff/Night Burners.
