I remember getting real frustrated with myself over not being able to do or learn anything on it, hindsight.. what a wonderful thing..
I think at some point I also ran it with two tyre's per wheel and a motor bike chain, as fashion at the time dictated.... haha

That is some frame. The back end looks as long as the front (or should that be, as short at the front?)

Funny you post up this pic. I was just talking to Harris about your Homeless past.

haha ..yeah strange Alex, it was Ian who reminded me today about this bike, I said I had a picture somewhere and he insisted I sent him a copy via gmail, so I thought it'd be rude not to post a pic and small write up on here about it!
this was the one that I wanted to replicate at some point...

Well many you wanna talk to Dan. Even if you just use his "close enough" frame till you find the correct one?

I think Dan might be bringing his Homeless frame with him on Thursday. I told him you might wanna check it out, and at least be able to tell him more about it than I could

I heard a few stories about people taking their bikes on planes in the 90s. People got stopped at the Xray and got asked questions about what was in their box/bag. It would go something like this:

Airport worker: "whats in the box"

Rider: "A bike ... a BMX"

Airport worker: "Well what are those things there?"

Rider: "Oh, they are Handgrenades ..... oh, I mean pegs ... they are STUNT PEGS! Wait, were are we going? Put me down!..."

OK, maybe it never got that far, but a few people did have to bite their lip as they ALMOST said Handgrenades

I think seventies have got a few Megabrakes left. They sell stuff off on Ebay from time to time and those brakes have popped up a few times.

I could be wrong cos I was onto Canti brakes on the front so I never used one, but I think the Boa brake had loads of tiny loose ball bearing in them. If you took them apart they went EVERYWHERE! Rob machined the arms to take a nice sealed bearing, making them easier to work on, and I guess it made them work better/flex less. He might well have given them a better bolt as well, but I think they were both 10mm.
