I would say unless you have a parts list in mind, build the bike with the parts you have and then see what you want to change.  You have a good base already with those parts, but once the bike is built up and you have looked on this site at all the gorgeous DP builds then you will know what you want to change.

which leads me onto.... where are all the other pictures of dp's? can find tons of skyways, haros, hutch's and gooses but no dp's?

Wow!  That is a result your parents still having it in the garage  :daumenhoch:.

Like everyone here has said, rebuild with what you have; most if it looks as though it only needs a damn good clean.  That Tuff will gleam after a soaking in bleach but make sure you grease the hub up as bleach will eat into the alloy and ruin it.  On the chrome bits, oxalic acid or bacofoil and coco-cola are your friends  :daumenhoch:.

Thanks for all the support / encoragmant / advice / knowledge.   I had no social life before anyway so that isnt a problem. I am also into mountain biking but its toooo cold at the moment so this can be my substitute hobby.

Right............... wishlist.....................................?

Tyres - vert-ego i think

chain? havnt got a clue what sort to get?

freewheel? havnt got a clue what sort to get?

pads? Where on eearth do they come from?

pedals? havnt got a clue what sort to get?
