Can anyone give me a ball park figure as to how much a full set  (1-52) of BMX action Bike (Not RAD)   would be worth. The majority are in Mint , And I mean Mint conditon. that Tatty ones are the ones I had to buy from Evil bay!

put them on the bay, i think the biggest problem is most collectors only need odd ones

Sorry I think I may have misslead some people on here. I was just after a price for what the collection would be worth. NOT how much I can sell/ get rid of them for!
Cheers

They are worth whatever you feel your 'Childhood' is worth (how can you put a price on that?)

In monetary terms they are worth whatever the going rate is......I sold my full set in about 2002 for £40

If you are looking for a true value then the only way to find that out is to auction them off....then you will know what they are worth

If you dont want to sell them then they are worth whatever you think they are worth!

Personally I think they are worth F* All as at the end of the day they are just a bunch of kids magazines from the 80s  lol

Ive got issue 1 to 50. I threw out all the ones past that cos it got a bit skatey and changed to RAD. (I say threw out, I took them to the local skate shop and they all got taken away in the end). I dont imagine they are worth much, but it would take more than £100 for me to part with them. Most of them are quite thin, they dont take up much room.

I miss place a few for a while. I had put all the ones with people I knew in them somewhere "safe". When Andy Shohara came over not long ago I tried to find the one with him on the cover but it was no-where to be found. Amazingly it was for sale on Ebay that week for £5 so I got it. When it came, the center spread was missing, the one with Andy on it! Gutted!

Im pleased to say I found all my mags a few weeks later.

I was asking people to send me copies to just that yesterday. brandy truffle has scanned most if not all of his, or should I say his little lad has. lol.

However, apparently he was planning to put them on Dales new site. So we'll have to wait and see.

like people have said before, although it is a good collection, it would be hard to find someone who has none of them to suddenly decide they want the whole lot in one hit. most collectors will already have most of them and will only want the ones they need.
that said if i had all those, i'd want a few hundred quid for 'em.
selling them individually may be better for you financially as i'm sure at least one or two of them will be needed by some collectors and they may pay about £20 for one issue. but then you have the hassle of listing them individually.
i'd say set yourself a fairly decent reserve and stick em on ebay as a whole, unless you have a price in mind, then post it on here and see who bites.  :daumenhoch:

I havent even discussed that with DH.com yet. It was something i thought about.I'm not in it for profit, i'd like to see them all readily available - here included (at RAD) - so people can have access to them all. In my mind what Dale is trying to do with his Old School Site and what RAD has achieved thus far makes them the two places i'd like to see have an "Online Mag Library" I'm not sure what the legalities are of this regards copyright etc,so again that needs to be discussed.

Either way,i'm not doing all this work just for my own benefit, and if the online thang doesn't come off for whatever reason, then i'll be making the files available to RAD members some other way (DVD P2P,etc)

Personally i'm not getting involved in these stupid bidding wars on the evilbay.I still need a few mags, but they always crop up..eventually,so when i'm done i'll release the complete works so to speak.

... i forgot to say...to the two 30something d00ds who not only out bid me... but ended up "fighting" each other on the bay then paying over 30 quid for a mag .... GET A LIFE.

....8 DAYS LATER...I won the same issue for £2.85.  :P
