This is one of the two Pre-Publication issues of BMX News (That became BMX Weekly, that became BMX Bi-Weekly, that became Invert, that became Ride.

It was given away free with Trials and Motocross News in late 1980

I'll scan a few choice bits in soon as I get a minute.

Ruler...I'm sure someone will correct me on this if I'm wrong - but as i recall (or made up in my frazzled memory) the Higginson family signed over distribution rights from Bi-Weekly to the Nobles who re-launched.

yeah i think ur right hudu,
from what i can remember about it, bi-weekly and freestyle bmx ran side by side for a short time, then combined into freestyle bmx, which then became invert, and eventually ride... ???

(would also love to see some scans of ur mag :daumenhoch:)

i've only got the vaguest memories of it but it was like a broadsheet type thing?

Yeah Joe, It was a full on weekly newspaper in broadsheet size, colour front page. I have the full collection. Some a bit tatty now.

Mark, you know that Eckington was before both bmx AND cameras were invented.
