« on: December 05, 2007, 01:29 PM »
right bb cups in bearings in and acle in with the bobble bit to the drive side screw on the bit that runs on bearings but on the drive side does this have to be all the way on to the thread end where the bobble bit runs round the axle or can i leave it well back to align me chainring with the freewheel?

right lets try again the axle has ridge running round it that goes to the drive side.the bit that screws onto this then runs on the bearings .does this part need to be screwed on the axle fully to the end of the threaded part.then tighten the other side till smooth and lock with lock nut or can this part on the right be left not fully tightened ,will it move on the thread as pedals go round?any better
?

fitted loads before and not had this problem that i can remember but and this is big but the actual crank arms are off a race bike not bmx maybe there is difference there somehwere or maybe the axle length is wrong ?
if i can ill get pics up saturday in daylight will be better pics then .

wouldnt mind but these are only temporary cranks until i find something nicer to use but ive spent about 2 hours trying to set em up lol.new school ones take me ten mins ish ..

ps the fmf ones on ebay are they say sq taper are these same as old school as i quite like em
