Pro Neck III stem
« on: December 04, 2007, 12:45 AM »
Okay.  This stem came with an 88.5 Haro Master I bought a while back.  It was NOS and is mint/unmarked.  I have since found a nice Group 1 stem for the bike so, at the moment, it is sitting in a drawer doing nothing.  These never come up on eBay (Seriously, I've never seen another) and I would like a bit of info on the stem before I consider letting it go.  What date (roughly) did Pro Neck produce this stem and what sort of money do people pay for them.

I think it is an amazing looking Pro Neck and I would like to keep it but my other bikes are from '86 and earlier so this is a little bit modern for those builds...

Look forward to your comments....

I wonder if it is worth as much as those Oakley grips that you sold last night?  A radberry Redline Forklifter went for over £200 last week.  Have people gone mad???

I'm always on the lookout for a decent Tuf or Pro Neck stem on eBay.com.  I search for Pro Necks every other week and you don't even see them on eBay.com...

Fortunately one of the other Rad members sold me a forklifter for £30 including delivery.  Although bought NOS, it had been sprayed black with a rattle can but it did come with a replacement decal.  What a bargain...

I don't think I've ever seen one of those before, is it a late 80's model?

Looks very tidy all the same  :smitten:

i think you may be right it not technically being a pro-neck, but as with tuf n pro necks it prob made in the same moulds with connections to the same people

There was definitely a Pro Neck II stem.  I've seen a few of those so I just assumed this stem was a Pro Neck III.  The stem has the large bolt which screws into the quill, like a Tuf/Pro Neck so again, I just assumed it was a Pro Neck...
