so what colours did they come in then as the nickel is
a tad shot and a few dents in it
was gonna go white
but may change that
also any picts or scans would be nice

and this is the one i got
seat post is out now only took and 30 mins to do
once i drilled the top bit off
got forks and a chainring coming and hopefully wheels too

thanks mate.
that candy was applied straight over the nickel after a bit of a polish. the nickel was shot when i got it, but tell tale blue inside the gusset and in the welds told the story that it had indeed been candy blue early in it's life.

Here is another Candy Blue Goose, my '78 DeCoster.

I applied a Metalic Silver base with Candy Blue over the top.

oh they look nice in blue
and also spokes seem to suit em aswell
so may go with spokes for now unless i get some motomags

i've gone collecting mad :'( first thing i thought when i saw that was, i would love to get a set of those forks still in the box. When you start wanting box's then it's getting a bridge to far for me. I'll have a word with myself.

thats where their supposed to be on earlier models
check the catalogues, think they dropped down on the 81 - 83 models which have the stepped rear drops

oh and also with that decal - the color stripe to the front is the red one NOT the orange one
you'll lose points for that  ;D

mines a 1978, which is where they put them on the early ones. i guess frame pads weren't a big deal back then.
