Bugger I thought I would have had everyone stumped $:-\$

Just been reading Slash's autobigraphy and was suprised to see about 9 pics of him on a BMX. He was apparently listed in a couple of magazines in the 70s as an up and coming rider in the 13/14 age catergory and was ready to go pro once he'd landed a sponsor. But alas he joined some small time rock band (whose name escapes me!!) a few years later

Initially I thought Slash (I knew Slash raced BMX when he was a kid and he actually met fellow GnR member Steve Adler through BMX), but in that last pic he looks 100% black whereas Slash has always looked mixed race since he became famous in GnR.

Just some relative triva, Charlie Reynolds started racing in around 83, he raced for my families shop (Edwardes) and he never had an afro anywhere near as good as that! I have the best advert ever with Charlie in, i'll scan it for your laughter, Charlie Raced for VDC.

I used to ride with Cecil Johns up in Norcal (he raced for Boss and won the occasional Pro Main) but he died some years ago for those that knew of him and might not have been aware. Lovely bloke, really clean living apart from a bit of weed, he was superbuffed but very smooth.

Anyone remember S&M dragging Anthony Sewell out of retirement? Anyone remember Sewell racing for Birmingham Wheels?

Just got the Slash book today. what bike is he riding? the writing suggests a Webco but the info on one of the pics says a Cook Bros. Obviously he could have had more than one bike.
