Whats happening with Wigan Track?

I spoke to Alan a few months ago... If i remember correctly he said things were moving but only very slowly... said it will be 2-3 years before anything is started/built

Cheers Dan I would imagine anything involving local council would take ages. Time to get honed to perfection then, if I'm not on a zimmerframe by then.

Don't know if its any help, but i did see a week or so ago a couple of threads from Mike Pardon re Wigan track....sorry did not read them as I live too far south for it to matter, although one of my favourite tracks to race in the 80's. So have a look about, may have some important info. (Might have been over on BMXTalk forum??)

No worries... Although the track is not there yet, the club is accepting memberships... might be worth joining to show your support.

I was going to join a few months ago to show some support but then I broke my ankle on my BMX so have been recovering from that since then.

hi guys
im waiting for a meeting to happen regarding new project in Bickershaw near Leigh
i have been told that there building a track or something extreme sports facility there.
until we find out exactly whats happening, three sisters people dont want to go ahead on the land.
this could take some time
