Mags on mid school race bike.

Is putting tuffs on a mid school race bike a political no-no?  I have a vision but don't want to be laughed at.

you have to be giving it plenty large to really bust tuffs or be shite and heavy and always land like a spakka to bust em, ive had no probs riding mine and they are straight as and they have not had an easy life as they been jumped and heavy landed and cased many many times, ride well and theyl serve you well.

so you ride large? or like a spakka? :LolLolLolLol:

Tuffs look cool on pretty much most things.

They do flex a bit but they're much TUFFer (excuse the pun) than people think. Remember how high Mike Canning used to get? Carlo went high but was obviously light and smooth and Neil Ruffell went high and he was also smooth but Mike Canning used to go FOOKING high and by his own admission was never the smoothest rider in the world. I've seen Canning get 12-13' + out of some pretty high (for their day anyway) quaterpipes, land heavy as fook halfway down the transition and the Tuffs took it.

In fact, I think I've only ever cracked a Tuff round the hub area and I gave them some battering too as I was never a mega smooth rider in my Tuff days. I think my only issue I ever had with Tuffs was getting brake pads to work properly on them.

Tuffs are iconic.  They span all eras of BMX.

By the way, nice Fueler above.  IMHO, that's the nicest frame GT ever made.
