from what the article says, it looks like a purpose built warehouse for it.
i've left a message for Zach to find out if it is part of adrenaline alley skatepark. so will let you know when i find out anything, but have found this article. which implies that they have built another warehouse next to the park.

WORK has begun on a huge building to house a state-of-the art skate ramp which will confirm Corby's Adrenaline Alley as biggest and best indoor urban centre in the country.
The £150,000 building at Priors Haw Road is next to the existing indoor park, started by mum Mandy Young to relieve her son's boredom during school holidays and weekends.

Inside will be a 14ft high, 70ft long £40,000 ramp for boarders, bikers and bladers – the only one of its type in Europe.

Adrenaline Alley is aiming to become a world class facility to rival those in the USA over the next few years.

Mandy said: "This has been about two-years in the planning stages. Corus put up a £150,000 grant about a year-and-a-half ago and then we secured a further £40,000 to build the ramp itself. There isn't another place as big as this in the UK now."

The construction will be made from flexible material and can be used by skaters and riders.

Shaun Scarfe, whose company FourOneFour is designing and building the ramp, said: "It means that if you crash when you're learning, you won't hurt yourself as much.

"It's the only one of its type in Europe and is a fantastic facility to have in Corby."

Adrenaline Alley has also applied to Northamptonshire County Council for cash to build an indoor street-scene to give learners the chance to practice technical tricks.

Mandy, 43, added: "Our long-term vision will be to develop a world class centre.

"We're hoping that world champions will train here – and where there's world champions, there are kids wanting to learn from them."

In its first year, the Alley attracted almost 8,000 visitors from across the United Kingdom. About 26 young volunteers help out at the centre.

in the write up it says "made from flexible material" does that mean it a cross between resi and the usual material a halfpipe is made from.

I was under the impression that it was a proper good old vert ramp, 14ft high and 50ft wide with a resi ramp on the end (that would be the flexible bit).

You can't have a soft or flexible vert ramp as you'd loose your pump as soon as you dropped in...  I suspect they're talking about the resi bit....

Allegedly a wee bit higher than Epics vert ramp too

Just got a message from Zach Shaw today regarding the ramp.  He was up there putting on the second surface today and they are just starting to build the resi section.
It is part of Adrenaline Alley, so that's all cool.

He said Thursdays are a good night to come up as it's an old boys night then.  So if anyone fancies it....  :daumenhoch:

Why do these people insist on adding an offcut of plywood at the top of the transition?????   Epic has the same thing.

Really pisses me off.

Put it at the bottom, then run two full sheets up to the coping and trim to suit. That way you'll never get a bump or a kick in the tranny.

Makes for a better ramp.  Just my opinion, obviously   ;) ;D

Looks big though eh?  I'm looking forward to riding it   :daumenhoch:

yeah that's me in the pic at woodward west.that ramp is 13.5ft high too and a treat to ride :daumenhoch: the resi section there is 16ft wide which feels a little narrow compared to the rest of the ramp.

this is a cost saving method. that bit at the top is what takes a beating around the coping area so when its that knackered they can replace smaller sheets of wood, rather than a complete piece of 8x4

failing that. there might be a top skin to go on top of that last pic and they don't want to joins together
