There was a very limited run of Kuwahara E.T.'s that were based on the E.T. original but had Redline 401's & gold Ukai's laced to gold Suzue hubs instead of the one piece set-up but none of those ever came to the U.K. They were for a select few of the local L.A. crowd (Howie Cohen - Everything Bicycles who was pals with Spielberg I believe?). Gecko Products used to import Kuwahara into the U.K.

I once owned a Kuwahara E.T. original and fitted Redline 401's to it. Sold it a long while back and then a Kuwie Nova, Kuwie Laserlite 84' and then the Kuwahara Laserlite 3000 with the triple butted Ishiwata tubing. Custom Riders chromed the forks for me on that one and  I now own one of the ultra rare 2007 Kuwahara Laserlite E.T. 25th anniversary Limited Edition bikes.
