To the above answer I replied ...................

"Hi ,

Did'nt you record the serial ? , no proof to confirm it's an MXII . Did you fit the newer parts & Redline stickers ? . Here's a link to the forks that came on the MXII .

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=230185880924&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=013

The forks have a very distintive dropout & have additional ( missing on these ) capped ends .

I think maybe you are misleading people that it's an early frame with no proof . Can you send pics of the frame before restoration to me ? .

Thanks"

His answer to that message was .............................

"listen fella i have had the bike for a long time now and everything in my decription is 100% lost record of serial number a while ago but was assured of authenticity by the bmx museum the stickers came from a seperate source and i am aware they are not the original '81 decals but used these for my own personal taste"

I just sent him this ......................................

"Whoa ! , calm down there .... lol

I'm a moderator on the UK's biggest Old School website ( RADBMX.co.uk ) and it's just this type of misleading ads that get people paying over the odds for things that are'nt what they are described as . For one the forks are clearly not MXII forks , the bars look like new or mid school cruiser low rise bars so sadly not MXII bars either . The MXII Redline was normally supplied ( in complete build form ) with Redline V bars .

The description is clearly not 100% !"

See what he comes back with  :D

The frame does look like the other MX11's on the bmxmuseum site, but the forks look well out of place.  The dropouts look quite similar to Tioga ARX but that's as close as I can guess  :-\
