Maybe it was me, but although bitd I wasn't bothered about which parts went on my bikes (i.e. it wasn't all GT parts on a GT bike).  I was definately colour co-ordinated and most of the guys I raced against were also colour co-ordinated.

Maybe I just wasn't a pikey  :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

Guys i'm new to this and don't consider myself a collector or builder but look back and some of the bikes that were ridden, especially in the UK were not the brochure perfect builds.

Very true... I was always adding / changing bits, nowhere near as thought out or planned as today's builds.

BTW, I always love to see a JMC build.

Respect for having the balls to do something different with the colour, life would be boring if we all liked the same things.
I'm personally not sure the flat silver does such a set up justice, especially when those cranks are so damn shiney but hey, just my 10 pence worth.

It's great to see any JMC as far as I'm concerned, and a DY is my 'holy grail'.

You know this day and age when most people are lacking a certain individuality it takes balls to go out and do something different. Credit to you! :)
When I was in Bournemouth in July last I went to some establishment up by the BIC and got very scared. I thought I was in a Robert Palmer music video as all the women seemed cloned, with long straight blonde hair. Very scarey :-\
Hutchman we could have found another of the last shipment sent out of JMC factory to Hotwheels. Result. :daumenhoch:

Lovely matey, really nice.

I used to have one back in the  day (how many times have you hear that?!)

Would love to build another (how long is the Top tube - was Andy Patterson model any longer?)

Only criticism is the red cable and grips- Blue all the way man!

Other than that, best old schooler I've seen in ages...

Is there a caution-to-the-wind red and blue theme going on there?  ::)
Lovely.

thought i'd go bling....the cranks are that mint i had to or they would have been wasted...

anyhow...candy blue is like, so last season...

it needed warping into the 21st century.

tut tut tut................. want to see some real JMC's?

That color looks cool, been thinking about it since I saw it yesterday, only changes I would make would be to swap the red grips for blue and take out the blue chainring bolts, final touch would be to put a chain on it, other than that I think it looks very, very nice  :daumenhoch:.
