GT Pro Performer Colours - ADVICE
« on: October 22, 2007, 02:56 PM »
Hello chaps. My brother is slicing up my '84 pro performer in the sheet metal shop at the moment and sorting out the seat post which was jammed in, but once its ready which should be this week, I'm debating which colour to get it powdercoated.

Everyone has yellow and cannot be arsed with that. Was thinking about Orange but that isn't true to the original colours. I have two white bikes already so don't want to do it white. Black is well, too dark. Red? Did they make a red performer? Orange to me seems the most likely but what would you suggest? Also anyone got any photos of performers and they colours?

Thanks a bunch,

Matt  :daumenhoch:

Yeah sounds good. Really thinking about this red / burgundy colour.

I see a Santa Ana one on BMX Museum. Not a Performer but a nice colour.

Anyone got photos of the Fiola one?

Got a black pad set and a black gt stem to go on it, so something to match those would be ideal, that's why I've got this red or orange floating around me head  :LolLolLolLol:

Haha red will be hard to justify to my brother as being a complete Spurs family (doh)  :LolLolLolLol: but Red should look nice.

Top stuff thanks for this. Still not keen on the yellow as I was a few years back and the red/burgundy colour in those photos are hard to see. Would love to see a close up of it.

Cheers,

I think there is only one colour for a Performer and that is Yellow. When you mention them to people that were into bmx bitd they always refer to the performer as yellow in colour. Simply awesome bike. Im gonna do a yellow one with white alloyed hubbed tuffs. Cant wait!

Yes mate, I do agree with you but everyone has a yellow one and I just fancy something a little different. I did like your orange performer, that looked lovely and got me thinking about orange or even red.

Cheers mate, it is a great colour my sons bike but when you start using different colours like that i think it takes away the bikes charachter.

You know what though, i have never seen a black performer?

did they do one in this colour?
