I could be wrong but seem to remember those uniseats had some kind of plastic/nylon seatpost in them. How about trying to dye it like some of these guys do with tuffs.... if ya paint it, isn't that just going to scuff up again??

Just an idea!!

there fibreglass i think , so be carefull with solvent based paints , I would try bleeching it first as that may brighten it up without resorting to adding paint which will in all probability crack due to the flex on fibreglass

plus by adding alayer or 2 of paint you wil prob scrape irt all off putting it in the frame

good points chaps thanks,
tbh i think its a kind of nylon it has tiny little air holes in it, funny enough its been sat in bleach all day in the sun  and has not done much, i will try a small layer of paint to check for reaction, if all's well i shall give it couple of thin coats  :daumenhoch: its only for a show pony so if the paint scratches off up to a certain point it will be hidden in the tube. anyway... sounds good  :-\
thanks for all your advice  :4_17_5:
