you have some great footage ... do you have any street footage from the late 80s / early 90s or any andy brown footage?

its denny not danny.ha.  andy brown used to frequent cardiff a lot around 86,87 so i do have footage of him riding cardiff ramp room the day before the cardiff national in 86, plus some of his runs the following day.(i remember he had his leg in plaster most of the week prior) also got his excellent flatland run from the gloucester tizer worlds in 87 (which will be posted up very soon),but sorry no street footage exists of andy in my collection.

anyone else out there help out??????

Denny,

How are you getting your stuff from VHS to Youtube? I am trying to set up a rig to copy my old VHS stuff to DVD, and from there to YouTube. Just wondered, as you have sooooo much footage, if maybe you had a better way?

i've been playing the vhs tape (or dvds) and running it into my digital camcorder (it must have dv in). no loss of quality from the original tape so easy for uploading to youtube, or to copy to the pc for editing, and for taking video stills. mine cost me £1200  a few years back but i'm sure as the price of digital cams has come down the features have got better so you could prob get one which does the same as mine for few hundred these days. check specs first though.

got all the different series of bmx beat bar the tv pilot they ran as a tester many moons ago. i'm sure there's a guy selling the bmx beats and others on the net for something like £1.50 per dvd.

try here.

i've had a quik look on oldschoolbmx dvd site and think all the bmx beats i have are the same as what he has. any standout memories or riders from it just i case i do come across it. so many tapes in my vault and many the writing has faded to nothing.

yep, that's the one. where you could tell andy ruffell was getting quite annoyed (but tried to stay professional) whilst their 3in1 oil guy started lubricating his bike.
