I assume it was a stone..A bullet looking hole was visable on the non driver side(thank the lord I'm in a LHD car)..and there was a huge bang...

I'm OK Kev...A little shook,70mph in the fast lane then bam...

Yeah Pete..It was the wagon, not even the luxury of hazard lights or laminated glass..... :idiot2:

Was that on the dual carriageway north of Canterbury after you come of the M2? I had a massive stone smack the windscreen there on my way, sh&t meself, the proper reflex dashboard duck and everything. Just a chip in the screen though. Bad luck Nic that is a right pain.  :(

That's not nice and thank God you're OK.  We tend to forget the old 'safety glass' these days with laminated screens in everything.  What would be nothing more than a chip today is what you got on the VW and how frightening is that!!  Trust you can source a replacement because somehow I doubt there are too many of those old screens about.  Humps

Am glad your ok xx

God, dont think I'd want a replacement screen if it does that (I remember that happening in the country lanes one night when I was a child and my dad was driving us home from a night out and that was scary enough).  Can you not get a screen to fit your VW with safer glass in it?
