Midlands Champs 07 - more pics...
« on: October 15, 2007, 12:37 AM »
Did my best today but was up against some top Old School Riders...

The lads who finished above me were very very quick...

I'm just happy to be sharing the same track as those guys... did my bit for www.burnerworld.co.uk though..  8)

We had a FULL gate for the Old School Catergory. (8 riders)

My Results
MOTO 1 = 6th
MOTO 2 = 5th
MOTO 3 = 6th

FINAL = 6th

Pretty consistent but not good enough...  :(  thinking of going to Dagenham is 2 weeks for the 2nd Race in the OSWS.. try and get some more track time down.

Plus side is... the guy who came first overall.. was riding... A BURNER!!! Not ya average bike mind... just the holy grail of grails in Burnerworld.

Anyway here's some pics of the day...

New School MASTERS.

Se-BMXER (Jai Kemp) off out with a narrow lead...

Old School 2nd MOTO..
Lane 4 for Beard  8)

I'm in there somewhere!!

Was up in 4th for a 'short' while...  :?  and leading RATTY!!!!

Beaten on the line by the old RATSTER...   (His revenge for Bullwell!!)

John collecting his well deserved Trophy!! 1st place..  8)

And the man himself with his piece of Raleigh Racing History!!!!

This won't mean alot to you guys on here.. but to sad lad like me this is Burner PORN!!!!       :Great_Britain: :Great_Britain: :Great_Britain:

And a deal was struck...  8)  so all in all... it was a belter of a day..  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)

Someone else on this site has one of those specialist Burners, but it's bronze not chrome...  both are very rare :daumenhoch:

Its very similar in places but the ones I have seen have all had slight differences... made to order for factory riders really.

John got his BITD because he kept snapping his MK1 Pro Burner.

I think Craigs must be a later version around 83/84 when they started the switch to Oval Tubing...

Both gorgeous bikes and VERY VERY rare and desirable... if only to us Burner Sad Lads...  :4_17_5:
