yeah, that was the done thing before pots pod's. It stopped you from breaking the adjustor bolt when you turned the bars. That is a great burner photo Mike. I didn't know you were in Bucks fizz.    sorry lol

yeh that cable routing was fine for what we were doing
there wasnt any mad barspinnery, just bars going the wrong way during trackstands plus the odd tailwhip, followed by the bar unwind (which was a trick in itself!!)

Yep it was a brake mod lads so ya didnt catch your cable. You coud spin the bars almost round. The days before the spinners..

As for bucks fizz.. Now thats what i call rocknroll. One of em even even dived out of the tour bus onto the pavement. Even hendrix didnt do that!!

I was young and i needed the money. !!!

Alans always been a punker. I borrowed the shirt from a mate cos the ad was meant to be all hardcore.

I sold it for, wait for it...Very cheap. I remember selling my hutchbear trap pedals and cranks for £80...God what i wouldnt do to have it all back now... I had two fo them candy apple blue trickstars all free off Shiners. They WAIT FOR THIS went trade price complete bikes for £1500 and that was in 85...
I still have my factory hutch shirt and my BMX beat raleigh top though. There priceless to me.. Thats all ive got left ,,check piccies .The raleigh shirts stil have all the original patches on...

Only just found this thread!
That pic was one of the first pics I'd had in a magazine. 1984 Bradford NBMXA National.
I think that's Jon Turnbull behind me riding for TRM/Stetchford Cycles. Funny how the memory sarts creeping back when you see a pic!
Good find Mike. I know I have it myself somewhere (well I hope I do).
Its probably in one of the dustbin liners full of mags in the loft!
