Heres some old photos of the superclass riders from different tracks and years.
You can see Tom Lynch, Andy Welsh, Winnie Wright (rip), John Stockwell to name a few.

Hope you enjoyed looking at them.

I particularly like the third picture from the bottom. A clear example of why no clips and high saddles made sense. Birng back berm moves and contact!

Cool pics.
I saw Tom Lynch on the TV a while ago. He is a paramedic in central london and uses a MTB for his job.

Photo's 5,6 and 7 were taken at the 1987 champion of champions. They were held at the National cycle festival at Himley Hall Park, Dudley, Birmingham. The track was built for the that Weekend.

Isn't it great to see all of the really high seatposts?  Remember when we used to sit down in a corner?  Beats the hell out of these slammed seats these days.  :daumenhoch:

Think the 1st pic is Ian Mansell in the CW gear, i gave up in 87 and
the kits changed so much in a short time.

The CW rider is Colin Chivers i'm pretty sure Kev. The number 60 is bugging me though... I can name nearly all the rest!

Pop along to Daggers and watch the old school race. There's plenty of contact and berm moves going on there. And for real carnage go to Hersden.  :LolLolLolLol:

It won't but I'm not going to crash going for the win if I'm having a good race in second.  ;)
