Please hear me out Burner haters.........

Which Burner do you believe is the most 'iconic' Burner of all the range. Throwing aside poor geometory etc. Which one was the 'I want' Burner of all time?

For me it is the Mk1 Tuff (yellow/blue), the one I believe should have been released for the 25th anniversary celebrations! What are your thoughts and ideas?

Please be gentle, you know how touchy us Burner lovers are

true, even though my first burner was the red one with yellow tires & my second was the super tuff burner

i have a blue and yellow ,just like youre pic, and i cherish it

they just look the nuts,

when i ride it i smile lots,people beep thier horns,point at it,

its a proper head turner,i dont care what people think,i love it.

for me it would be the team aero burner, decent proper geometry (what was it a tange frame?), i raced one of them in 85 for a bit, luberly.....

definitely the yellow and blue...

the team aero pro and the andy ruffell colour does look good, probably the best they done. but as far as iconic, it has got to be the yellow and blue.

Would have made sense doing the tuff as the 25th anniversary as it's been exactly that long since it was created.

The tuff is certainly is the most iconic Burner, perhaps even BMX in general (!?!) They are fantastic to look at but unfortunately the ride-ability as an adult is awful.

That's the sole reason for selling mine... so in essence it would make the perfect show bike for me. Perhaps for this reason they wouldn't sell as well as the Team AP ?

Personally I wish there weren't any re-issues made as I'm sure you're already aware.

I would probably agree with you Owen as the yellow and blue burner probably the most iconic bmx of the 80's.

ive always liked burners.. just a nostalga thing like all our vintage builds.
Super burner for me, mate across the road had one.. good memories.

personally if DB/ralaigh (whoeva owns db) re-issued the turbo i'd be gutted..

Gotta be the blue and yellow tuff burner for me. Im picking mine up tonight! £94 steal from ebay. I havent decided to keep it as it is or restore it. Cant wait to see it and my eldest son is more excited about seeing than any other bike i have had. That goes to show it must have been attractive to the younger eye BITD.

This was the first BMX I ever saw (in the flesh). A kid was racing round 2 trees in the local park and was kicking everyone elses arse (everyone else was on racers or whatever).

This was the first BMX I wanted. I even had one put by in Halfords till I looked into the spec of it a little more (I was blinded by the glamor of Tuffs)

This was my first BMX. Not bad parts on it ... shame the frame was so bad.

This was the first BMX Id dream over. Almost double the price of the Ultra and way out of my range. Not a bad bike at all.

For me, their aint any other "Burners". Those 4 were the first ones I used to want, and I had moved on from Burners by the time the mk2s came out.

in fact in any burner range

and the best colour scheme

Along with the MK1 Tuff.. the Ultra is the best (NON-PRO) model that Raleigh produced..

had an Extra Burner bitd (wrecked it) but still got pics of me on it. My original fav was a MK1 tuff Burner but with the red frame, my mate had one like that.

1st ever bike was a black/gold ultra i loved it. Took me 3 years to kill it, which was due to an ambitious (warp speed) parachute jump at Knebworth performance bowl, I was soooooooo high till i landed

back to the thread......best looking / most iconic burner has to be the blue & yellow tuff and it was cheaper!!
